TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN On 2 and 3 September 2002, the Australian Institute of Criminology held a conference at the Carlton Crest Hotel, Melbourne. We engaged the band “Rapture” to perform at the conference dinner on the night of 2 September. The 5 piece band (including a male and female singer) were extremely professional in all their dealings with us and with the hotel, arrived punctually, were set up by the scheduled time and provided first rate entertainment throughout the evening. “Rapture” began with some instrumental jazz/blues during cocktails and dinner, setting a wonderful atmosphere while still allowing people to converse over dinner. After dinner, the band reverted to more popular songs, with the two singers providing fantastic vocals. It did not take long for people to get up onto the dance floor and remain there for the whole night. The feedback from all who attended the function was extremely positive Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves immensely, no doubt in no small part to the presence and performance of “Rapture”. I would have no hesitation in engaging “Rapture” at future functions, and I highly recommend them to any organisation looking for first class entertainment at any type of function.

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN: To celebrate the end-of-the-financial year, and other significant events, our medium-sized city law decided to have cocktail party with a difference- a 'Burt Bacharach' theme. We chose the date and found the venue, but were having difficulty in finding a band that would give us the music and the vibe we wanted. We wanted music written by or performed by Burt Bacharach. By and large, no one could understand what we were talking about. Jeremy came and met with us and not only understood what we wanted, but told us he had musicians who were so good, that he could buy the music and they would be able to play it on the night. It was so refreshing not to be told we had to fit into a boring formulaic song list. On the night, the band looked great. We were all impressed with the calibre of the musicians and the singer. They provided a really good atmosphere and we were delighted with the way that they took our concept and 'ran with it'. It was just how we wanted it- although we didn't want them to finish! We also booked Rapture for our next function. We know that they take pride in what they do, which means they enjoy the challenge of giving you what you want.
