Stephen Paix completed a Bachelor of Education at the University of Melbourne, and has worked as an educator, composer and performing musician. He has written and arranged music for school ensembles and has been involved in music theatre for primary and secondary school students.

Stephen's formal music education began with the study of classical piano and later his interests extended to jazz and popular music. He now composes and performs across the spectrum of musical styles. Stephen enjoys riding his bicycle, playing beach cricket and wearing Hawaiian shirts, and happily admits he digs the music of both Mozart and Elvis.
